FEATURES OF THE ōPIK
Response
The ōPik responds at the speed of light. We’re not kidding. The ōPik bounces light off the strings, and there is pretty much no delay. You are truly making music with light.
Output Gain
The ōPik is an active pickup - the electronics are in the pickup housing and include the preamp, with gain settings that are programmable from the ōPik app.
Programmable
The settings on the ōPik can be adjusted and refined with the ōPik mobile app. Independently set the individual string volumes, output gain and set high- and low-pass filters.
no Magnetic Drag
There are no magnets, so there isn’t any magnetic drag, either. That means more sustain, and who doesn’t like that!? Nigel Tufnel would certainly approve.
String Types
The ōPik works with a variety of different string types - steel, brass, nylon and other plastics, rubber, non-ferrous metal, frankly - just about anything that you can string on your guitar.
Frequency Response
Broader, more even frequency response across the whole range. ōPik works differently than magnetic pickups, and can be dynamically tuned to suit your taste.
